SM City Taytay celebrates National Arts Month by hosting the 10th Rizal Arts Festival. Every year since 2009, Rizal Arts Festival has been showcasing Rizal’s group of known artists’ art works with awesome exhibit appreciated by everyone. Being the art capital of the country, one of its famous son being Carlos “Botong” Francisco among others, Rizal is full of artists in every arts movement and style imaginable.
Last February 25, 2018, SM City Taytay officially kicked-off the celebration of Rizal Arts Festival by honouring the ten artists from the East. What set this year’s festival from previous year celebration is that this year’s theme is Art on Digital.
Yes, it’s true, arts is finally in the digital world. The Rizal Art Festival: Art on Digital will feature 100 artworks featuring the ten artists from the East. To access more about each artwork and the artist’s profile, you need to download Zappar app and by scanning the zap code in your mobile phones, you will get to know the stories behind of your selected RAF artist.
During the official launch; the ten artists; Jimmy Vista, Leo Meneses, Jhael Mataverde, Cesar Hernandes, Aga Francisco, Ember Crisostomo, Carlos Cee Cadid, Toti Cerda, Angelito Balagtas, and organizer Nemesio Miranda; were honoured with plaques and certificates for their works and participation in the 10th RAF.
The two weeks celebration will also turn the Bridgeway of SM City Taytay into an artist space starting February 25 to March 11, 2018. Shoppers will pass through the colourful Bridgeway that has prismatic effect that is indeed post worthy.
