This Netflix Originals is a cyberpunk series based on the novel with the same name. The plot takes place approximately 300 years in the future. People’s consciousness are contained in “stacks” while human bodies became “vessels”. Takeshi Kovacs (Joel Kinnaman), a violent mercenary, wakes up 250 years after his sleeve is killed; and he is given the choice to either spend the rest of his life in prison for his crimes, or help solve the murder of the wealthiest man in the world (James Purefoy).
The Cloverfield Paradox

In the year 2028, Earth is suffering from a global energy crisis. The space agencies of the world prepare to test the Shepard particle accelerator aboard the orbiting Cloverfield Station, which would provide Earth with infinite energy, while conspiracy theorists fear it will create the “Cloverfield Paradox”, opening portals to allow horrors from parallel universes to threaten Earth.

After Stranger Things brought out our inner nostalgia, Netflix doubles down on the old school in this new series that is set in the 90s. Everything Sucks is a coming of age dramedy that takes place in a boring town of Oregon.
Love Per Square Foot

Netflix’s first original Indian film, the romantic comedy takes on the common problem facing young couples, moving out of the parents’ home and the cost it takes on their lives. The story is about Sanjay (Vicky Kaushal) and Karina (Angira), who decides to get ‘married’ in order to get a joint loan for a house. A perfect movie to watch for couples in Valentine’s Day (if they don’t mind the subtitles).
When We First Met

When We First Met is a Groundhog day-style rom-com about a guy who discovers a time machine to go back to the time where he met the girl of his dreams- all while avoiding the friendzone. For couples who are looking for light hearted fun watching, this is a perfect movie for them.

After Netflix’s horrible live action adaption to Death Note, the streaming giant tries again with Japan’s live version Fullmetal Alchemist (even if it’s listed as an original). A must watch for anime fans.
