Ways to become a Vegan

Going vegan or vegetarian has never been easier. There is a huge variety of wonderful vegetarian foods to choose from at your local market. Unlike in the 80’s when it’s quite difficult to find goods in the market. It’s pretty awesome that more and more people are becoming more aware of healthy foods. Stores such as Healthy Options, Starbucks, Seattle’s Best, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf as well as other coffee shops now offer soy milk as an alternative to cow’s milk. At supermarkets, you can also find ready-to-eat canned veggie dishes as well as frozen kutchay (chives) and other vegetable based dumplings and rolls.

When you think about it, becoming a vegan is not that difficult. If you miss the taste of meat, there is a huge assortment of vegetarian options that are made to resemble everything from duck meat to ham. And with the trendy healthier themed restaurants sprouting here and there, meat-free dining is easier than ever!

“What most people know is that vegetarian food isn’t just a treat for your taste buds, it’s great for your health too,” shares Bert Go, a certified vegan. “People in general thought vegans like us eat leaves and those rubbery-veggie meats. But in reality, we eat not just healthy foods but delicious as well.”

There is no doubt what we eat directly affects the quality of our lives. While animal-derived foods have been linked to cancer, heart disease, obesity, and many other health problems, a vegan diet can make us healthier.

With the right food selection, you can lose weight permanently, help prevent heart attacks, and even reverse existing heart diseases. How’s that as a reward for ditching meat from your diet? Studies have shown that vegetarians have stronger immune systems and lower cholesterol levels than do meat-eaters or carnivores, and they’re less likely to die of heart disease or cancer. Consumption of meat and dairy products has also been linked to diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis, clogged arteries, obesity, asthma, and impotence.

Why don’t you start your 2018 by eating right? Becoming a vegan gives you more reasons to look forward to the coming year as well as the chance to reverse certain illnesses and get your life back in a more health way. Here’s the Psst.ph team wishing you good luck. You can do it!
