Restaurants thrive when they constantly evolve to changing tastes while retaining their classics. TGIFridays is updating their menu with 19 new items and the media was given a first peek at what they have in store for their customers.
For appetizers, try the Montreal Poutine, potato slices with brisket, gravy and cheese. This potato dish is very flavorful you would wish it was the main dish. Chili and Bacon and Cheese Poutines is another variant customers can try.
For the salad, the Oriental Sesame Salad brings a different tropical vibe to the table. It was an interesting mix of romaine lettuce, red radish, tortilla strips (for texture and crunch) with cashew and fresh mango. You can also try out the Garden Lychee Salad and Honey Bleu.
TGIFridays also has a few new sandwiches. The Smokehouse Brisket, with melted cheese and crispy onions on a brioche bun is a great change from the usual burger. The Vietnamese-inspired Chicken Banh Mi had grilled cilantro chicken, greens and hoisin sauce. The sauce overpowered the other ingredients but it’s an interesting alternative to the usual Tex-Mex dishes.
The new flatbreads are a good choice to order too. Meat lover would enjoy the Pepperoni Crisp. Those wanting a healthier option can order the Madison with its mozarella, italian sausage and arugula. The arugula tempered the flavors of the sausage, cheese and marinara sauce and gave another dimension in flavor.
TGIFridays is also serving new apple-infused wood-smoked rice dishes like Tuna Belly with red miso glaze, Maple Salmon, Chipotle Chicken Cutlet and Balsamic Glazed Chops. The Tuna is fresh and really good, with the miso enhancing the tuna taste. The chops were also thick, meaty and flavorful, and showcased the smokey flavor well.
TGIFridays also serves the most insane shakes around. Thewill bring out the kid in you. It is easy to make this too sweet but they have managed to make it pleasantly creamy. So head on over to TGIFridays and indulge in their new dishes.
