Seeing Beyond: A Deeper Look

During the opening of the “Seeing Beyond” photo exhibit, I had the chance to do an exclusive interview with Ms. Angela Panlilio, one of the photographers in the “Seeing Beyond” and asked her what the deeper meaning of this concept. Ms. Panlilio answered, “The whole show was; we’re the group of people that we shoot together all the time and we said in one point we need to do something more in art photography. A lot of people do paintings and oil painting but not many people do photography at an exhibition level. We said, ‘You know what? Let’s try and go in a exhibition in a fine art level and this is the attempt on that’.”

She added, “We just wanted to push more and see where photography can take us. And most especially, we wanted to go on the certain motion ideally for the group. That’s why “Beyond Seeing” not the technical, not the person you see; we wanted to look closer and feature it out and involved some other emotion apart from the obvious.”

Here are some of the photos at the “Seeing Beyond” exhibit.
