Dolsot Bibimbap is presented in shallow hot stoneware pot is the common name for the sizzling bibimbap bowl, directly translated from “Dol Sot” bibimbap.
The colorful dish have sliced carrots, cucumber, mung bean sprouts, sauteed and seasoned vegetables, gochujang ( red chili paste), sliced beef , topped with raw egg with sprinkle of sesame seeds.
The heat coming from the hot stoneware will eventually cook the egg. The hot dish is stirred together thoroughly just before eating. One also comes with spicy kimchi flavored Bibimbap which had a reddish -color mixture.
Doenjang Chigae or spelled Jigae / Fermented Soybean Paste Soup is a popular Korean comfort food made from fermented bean paste. some of the ingredients infuse flavors to the soup . Vegetables (scallions, aehobak, radishes, potatoes, chili pepper), mushrooms, tofu, seafood (shrimp, clams)
Gyeran-jjim or Steam Egg is a light puffy egg . In this version, there are chopped spring onions toppings.
Dak Galbi is a Spicy stir-fried chicken, is a popular Korean dish made by stir-frying marinated diced chicken in a gochijang -based sauce with sweet potatoes, cabbage, topped chopped spring onions.
Deungsim Yangnyeom Bulgogi The tender beef strips were sweet as this was marinated in honey, the beef meat is cooked in a broth, sliced onions, scallions, mushrooms and potato noodles. The texture is similar to misua but taste sweeter.
The best way to enjoy these dishes is to order Korean Soju . There are also side dishes or banchan which consists of kimchi, glazed peanuts , anchovies, mashed potato, mashed squash and chili paste.
Customers will surely liked the complimentary Barley Tea and Sikhye. It is good for helping digesting the food. Sikhye is made from fermented rice and malt drink with red beans meant to cleanse the palate and ease digestion.
