Beauty queens are not born, they are made. Since the inception of beauty pageants, the Philippines actively groomed not only beauty queens to be but also a fierce fan base that crowns them. And now after almost a decade of hiatus, the search for Miss Asia Pacific International is back.
Last year, the re-launching took place in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan at the posh Sheridan beach Resort where 22-year old stunner, Tessa Helena Le Conge from the Netherlands is the current titleholder.
Helena bested the other international contenders with her overwhelming charm, wit and optimism. “I think nowadays it’s sad to see so much negativity in the world, because you see people don’t really respect each other. I would like to show people what you can do with a good light in your heart,” she quipped with her dazzling smile. She was joined by Chawanya Thanomwong of Thailand (1st runner up), RP’s Ganiel Akrisha Krishnan (2nd runner-up), Felicia George of Cook Islands (3rd runner up), Soyeon Kim of South Korea (4th runner-up).
