Miss Earth 2017 won by Miss Karen Ibasco from the Philippines was crowned at the pageant’s grand coronation this Saturday night, November 4, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Those who competed for the final four were Juliana Franco of Colombia, Lada Akimova of Russia, Nina Robertson of Australia, and Karen Ibasco.
Miss Karen Ibasco was one of the early favorite during the preliminaries having bagged “Darling of the Press”.
She studied applied physics and medical physics at the University of Santo Tomas, previously competed in Binibining Pilipinas 2016 but was unplaced.
The pageant will be aired later on ABS -CBN channel 2.

the elemental queens were announced: Juliana of Colombia as Miss Earth Air 2017, Lada of Russia as Miss Earth Fire 2017, and Nina of Australia as Miss Earth Water.
Among the semifinalists included Czech Republic, Netherlands, Thailand , Venezuela, United States of America, Angola, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cameroon, Guatemala, Vietnam, Switzerland and Tonga.
