A first-ever Manila Craft Beer Festival happens from November 30 to December 2 at the Central Park of Greenfield District in Mandaluyong City. The festivity is a joint initiative of top real estate developer Greenfield Development Corporation and the Craft Beer Association of the Philippines. The fun starts at 4 pm and ends at 12 mn.
Touted as the biggest gathering of local craft breweries in the country, the MNL Craft Beer Festival has over 32 breweries and affiliates coming together on a common stage. They are to celebrate artisanal craft beers as well as introduce new brews to the public. Among those to join are Brewery at the Palace, 63 North Brewing Co., Kapitolyo Brewing Co., Blackwhite Craft Brewery (the first and only craft beer in Batangas), and Laughing Carabao Brewery (the first craft beer manufacturer in Tarlac).
Greenfield executive vice president and general manager Atty. Duane A.X. Santos said in a statement that “The Philippine craft beer culture has truly blossomed from the homegrown brews created by breweries and microbreweries around the country.” Philippine craft beers are known for their own distinct tastes and characters. Some have fruity notes while others have hints of specialty spices. A few have bold flavors of ale.
On its opening, the event coincides with Greenfield District’s Jazz Fest Thursdays. This transforms the Central Park into an outdoor jazz lounge in a park setting. Greenfield also aims more crowd on Friday as its Kaleidoscope offers colorful night market. A full house is expected, too, on the weekend as the live performances from various artists and the latest food trends on its Weekend Market draw crowd.
Come and join the fun. Visit Greenfield’s Central Park from November 30 to December 2. Have a glass or two of Manila’s fruity craft beer or how about try that beer with hints of specialty spices. Or you may also opt for the bold flavors of ale. The Central Park is part of the 15-hectare Greenfield District master planned township at the burgeoning Mandaluyong City.
