Big meeting tomorrow, but you’re puyat tonight. Here’s how to still look fresh and ready:
For Tired eyes:
Try a cool cucumber toner. Soak some cotton balls in the toner then put in the freezer for a few minutes. Apply on your eyes for five minutes. Be sure not to use products with alcohol as these will irritate the eyes.
For your Swollen, Dehydrated Face:
Moisturize! Products like green tea extract serum will help take out the puffiness and make your skin glow due to caffeine content. Follow this with a moisturizer.
Moisturizer is a step that should never ever be skipped! Applying moisturizer before your primer will ensure that your makeup stay in place and look fresh all day long. If you have oily, acne-prone skin, go for a moisturizer that is oil-free; on the other hand, if you have dry skin, pick a moisturizer that’s right for your skin type.
Never ever skip moisturizing, it will do you so much good. Applying moisturizer on the skin is one of the best trick to keep makeup on all day. It hydrates the skin, it preps the skin for foundation and it smoothens out the skin too. If you have oily skin, pick an oil-free moisturizer. If you have dry skin, look for a moisturizer with ceramides, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. These three ingredients will moisturize, strengthen and plump your skin. And, most importantly, always wear sunscreen (but you already knew that, didn’t you?)
Before makeup, smooth out your complexion with a good foundation or two. Use a little makeup to even out skin tone—but not too much. Get two foundation, one darker, one lighter, and custom-blend to get the perfect shade. Just apply over areas where you need it. Matte makeup dehydrates skin, so opt for creamier textures.
Remember that less is more: You’d want your makeup light but with lots of color. A cream blush is great and easy to apply on the apples of the cheeks. Finish off with a lipgloss in a light, cheery “I’m awake!” color.
With a little bit of help and care in the morning, you can look fresh and ready to go.
