Life Lessons from Train to Busan (Spoiler Free)

Yes, Train to Busan is another zombie movie but NO, IT IS NOT ANOTHER ZOMBIE MOVIE. Train to Busan which is from Korea tackles on relationships and the complexities of doing what is right vs what needs to be done while showing the different sides of humans when faced with their own mortality.

We had the chance to watch this and here are 3 lessons we garnered from it. Don’t worry. This is spoiler free.

  1. A parent will do anything to ensure that their child lives.
  2. When survival instincts kick in, the true color of a person is revealed. It is either every man for himself or the desire to help others live as well comes into play.
  3. People will do things they never thought they were capable of when push comes to shove. This could be acts of bravery or great acts of cowardice.

Train to Busan is not your ordinary zombie movie. On August 7, 2016, the film set a record as the first Korean film of 2016 to break the audience record with over 10 million theatergoers. An animated prequel, Seoul Station, was released less than a month later. It is currently shown in cinemas nationwide int he Philippines.

I’m no Zombie fan but I agree with your three points. WE do only see our strengths and our humanity when we are faced with life and death situations.
