Healthy Reasons Why Everyday Sex is Good for You

sex

A new study in Fertility and Sterility found that having sex every day could help prepare your immune system for pregnancy, which is critical in terms of increasing your chances of having a baby. Yes, frequent sex has many health benefits.

A good sex life is crucial to both our emotional and physical well-being.

‘It’s good for your health and good for your relationship. It’s good for respiration, muscles and bladder control. It’s a fine anti-depressant, and it can renew your energy,’ says zoologist and research professor Helen Fisher.

Sex does a lot to smooth over the rough parts of a relationship. It decreases stress, boosts the immune system and orgasms could be life-extending because of the effects on the heart and immune system. So aside from the above mentioned, what are the other benefits of everyday sex? Psst.ph gives you a rundown on why having sex every single day gives you an edge when it comes to health benefits. Read on…

It could lower your chances of having prostate cancer

According to a study from Harvard Medical School, men who ejaculated more often reduced their risk of developing prostate cancer by 22 percent. Researchers still don’t know why that is, but hey, if you needed one more reason to hit that tonight, having your guy avoid getting cancer is a pretty solid one.

It keeps you looking young and confident

It makes us feel desired which makes us feel like sex more often
If your partner wants to have sex with you often, it means they think you’re sexy and attractive. Your self-esteem gets a boost.
Stop having sex and self-esteem plummets. Both of you feel increasingly isolated; sexual frustration makes you feel irritable and you start getting angry over things that previously didn’t worry you.
Lots of sex stimulates hormones that make you love and desire each other more.

It helps get rid of menstrual cramps

A study done in 2000 found that 9 percent of 1,900 women were masturbating solely to get rid of their menstrual cramps. There’s no way that many masturbating women are wrong.

It lowers your blood pressure and your ability to stress out over basically nothing.

A recent study found that people who had penile-vaginal intercourse (these were the exact words/terms of a doctor) had lower blood pressure and better stress responses than people who didn’t (or those who masturbated or had non-penetrative sex), which in theory would mean they were also way more chill. Never a bad thing.

Sex can actually make you smarter

In a separate studies conducted by researchers at the University of Maryland and Konkuk University in Seoul, South Korea, they found that mice and rats who had sex more often were also less stressed, and since stress makes your brain less able to function, that made them more intelligent thinkers.

Sex makes you happyy

Having sex stimulates production of testosterone, dopamine and oxytocin – increasing desire and ensuring you bond. Even if you start the session quite half-heartedly, once you’re aroused, the release of these hormones makes you both feel pleasure, attachment and intimacy, says US sociologist Pepper Schwartz says.

Have daily bite-size sex

Aim to do one simple, sexy act every day for each other.
Sex doesn’t have to mean intercourse: have a long, deep kiss or a teasing, two minute oral sex session for one of you. Bite-size sex moments are more realistic to achieve and work to keep you both sexually connected without requiring Olympian effort.

So in theory, having sex every single day would make you fertile, live longer, never get sick, and have  smarter brain. So what are you waiting for? Why are you still reading this article? Go and get under those bed sheets now with your significant other!
