It’s not yet long ago since the 10,000 Roses Cafe has opened in Cebu that kicked off the first LED glowing flowers similar to the rose garden in Dongdaemon, South Korea. After 7 months, Bohol, one of the most booming provinces in the Philippines, introduced their newest attraction–Jardin Necitas. It was opened to the public last September 27, 2017 during the World Tourism Day.
Jardin Necitas features 15,000 glowing Tulips that come in a variety of colors and 5,000 red and white roses. According to the owner, she was inspired by the popularity of 10K roses in Cordova, Cebu that even reached the province of Bohol. The glowing garden is located at hilltop lot of Purok 5, Barangay Bagumbayan, Pilar.
The best time for you to visit would be around 4-5 PM so that you would see how it looks during the day and at night, plus the magical lighting of the flowers during the sunset. Because of its popularity, you may expect a lot of people to flock in the place. Expect some difficulty parking your car or motorcycle especially from late in the afternoon ‘til night because of congestion.
Jardin Necitas flower faux is planted to make it look real, but it’s just another mainstream attraction that has drawn in people, especially millenials who want to have a worthy intagrammable post. If you wish to visit this wonder in Bohol, they are open daily and entrance fee is 30PHP. They also have a cafe for the visitors to relax and refresh while enjoying your glowing moment.
How to get there
The town of Pilar is the second town from Carmen, the home of the famous Chocolate Hills. If you are coming from the city of Tagbilaran or Carmen, you can ride a bus going to Alicia and you can stop by Brgy. Bagumbayan in Pilar. Jardin Necitas is just along the highway about 15 minutes from Pilar Dam, the town’s main source of irrigation.
