Fun Things to Do Alone on Valentine’s Day

Whether you’re single or spending Valentine’s Day alone this year, we will not allow you to mope around. Take the commercial holiday to show yourself some extra love and celebrate you! You don’t need a date to have a good time — just me, myself, and I. So, here’s a few awesome things to do solo on Feb. 14.

Buy yourself a bouquet of flowers

Nothing warms a heart than receiving a bunch of flowers on the V-day itself. Who says, Valentine’s day are only for couples? If you think you deserve to receive flowers and you have no special someone who would give you a bunch of flowers, then why wait for someone to give you one? Go and buy them for yourself! That’s not being desperate, but it’s your way of saying you’re someone special too. It’s just that he hasn’t met you yet.

Treat yourself to a warm bubble bath

When you’re tired and weary from all the troubles of this world, give yourself some “me-time” by soaking in a hot bubble bath. It helps to clear the mind and soothes the spirit. You deserve all the love and pampering especially if you’ve just been through numerous heart aches and heart breaks in the past. Self- love is what it is all about.

Make a dinner reservation for one

Treat yourself to that fine dining restaurant you’ve always wanted to visit. Indulge in your favorite Wagyu steak and enjoy your every bite. You deserve to feel good about yourself. Just don’t do emotional eating.

Enjoy a makeover

Dye your hair purple or blue if you feel like it. Go for that Brazilian blowout treatment if you fee like doing it. Experiment, be drastic if it pleases you. Indulge in high end salon if you have money to shell out. It’s going to be for your own good. You have to feel good about yourself. Feel good, do good. Girl, it’s time to think of yourself. Again, it’s called self-love. You can also drop by a makeup guru for a much-deserved makeover.

Take yourself to a movie date

Imagine you don’t need to share a bucket of popcorn with someone else. Keep your feet up (if there’s no one seated in front of you), relax, chill and have fun. It’s time to watch a movie and to concentrate on the film itself. If you’d rather stay at home, consider watching via Netflix. You will never go wrong with a movie marathon in your pajamas.

Go to a spa

Soothe your tired muscles and get rid of those lactic acids away. With the gentle strokes of the masseuse, you’d find yourself sleeping like a baby that you wake up feeling invigorated and refreshed.

Get your nails done

Your digits can help brighten our day. Be as colorful as you can by choosing the brightest and brazen colors. Have your gel nails or an ordinary pedicure and manicure done by your favorite nail technician.

Bake some cake or pastries

If you have the talent for it, go ahead and bake some cakes or cookies or cupcakes. You can pour out your emotions by means of whipping something special for your family and friends. You will make them happy and therefore you will be happy yourself.

Valentine’s day can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of age, gender and status in life. It is a special occasion which we can all celebrate according to what pleases us. Sadly, it’s been too commercialized these days giving more pressure to the single ones. But know that it’s just another day to show your family and those whom you love how much special they are to you.
