The hype is definitely not over with the latest installment of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Crazy amount of support was given to GRAB’s #MasterYourForce campaign which was a collaboration between The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia to celebrate the theatrical release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Thousands of GRAB users participated in the campaign by picking a side between the First Order and the Resistance then booking Grab rides rom November 27 to December 10 using THELASTJEDI promo code.
59% of Grab Riders pledged allegiance to The First Order while 41% chose to fight for THE RESISTANCE. 5 top riders were chosen from each side as finalists to compete at the final showdown last December 16 and in the end, it was a woman who prevailed.
After battling it out at the final showdown for the #MasterYourForce, Grace Marcellana from the side of the First Order won the grandest and the biggest trip of all: an all-expense paid trip for two at the Rancho Obi-Wan in San Francisco, California USA.
For those who went to the Showdown, there were a lot of treats that they enjoyed. Some of the activities included were a GIF Photobooth, battling in an augmented reality through Battle Front II, experience first-hand how a Jedi trains through an AR experience, learned how to maneuver droids through a droid battle, and redeeming of various goods through GrabRewards.
During the culminating activity, Grab Philippines gathered people from the media, influencers, active grab passengers, Star Wars and non-Star Wars fans alike for a whole day of fun intergalactic activities that were in store for them. And to give thanks to some of the fans, media, and influencers, Grab took them to the Venice Piazza Mall for an exclusive screening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
