There’s a reason why Filipinos across the globe should be happy, for another Filipino duo has made our country proud. Hailing from the Philippines, Lesha Litonjua and Leo Malli, otherwise known as Lesha x ELM, are best friends in college. Lesha is a singer, songwriter, and a producer, while ELM ventures into rapping and production as well. In a pursuit to take their music to the next level, Lesha and ELM decided to collaborate and where they get to create their own unique sound with their knowledge of electronic music production. Lesha x ELM began performing together in 2016 and since then, they’ve been posting song covers and originals on YouTube, booking performances at the top premier night clubs in Manila, and have opened acts for international artists that visited The Philippines. Studying marketing and music respectively, the two hope to blend their talents to take their beats international.
Shortly after their breakout in the music scene, Lesha x ELM decided to try their luck at the Best Cover Ever. They submitted their audition video by uploading their cover of DNCE’s “Toothbrush” and later received the news that they were chosen as top finalists for the show amongst tens of thousands submissions from all over the world. Competing against other artists, Lesha x ELM are the only Asians/Filipinos included in the roster and one of the youngest and most successful YouTube cover artists locally.
To these amazing Filipino duo, our congratulations and thank you for making us all proud!
