Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Wonderfully exhausting. These were the only words that came to mind after watching the more than 2 hour production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang presented by Resorts World Manila and Ultimate Shows Inc.

Ian Fleming’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is being shown for the first time here in the Philippines and this is being held at the award winning Newport Performing Arts Theater. When you do watch it, you will understand why it is fitting to be done in Newport Performing Arts Theater and you will understand why 34 years after the movie version was released, people are still clamoring for it.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is led by an all Filipino cast with Gian Magdangal as the front runner. Gian just recently came back to the country after being away for 3 years as he worked with Hong Kong Disneyland. He graced The Golden Mickeys and Mickey and the Wondrous Book and as one of the main performers in Disneyland in Osaka, Japan.

Gian leads a powerhouse cast as he takes on the role of eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts while Yanah Laurel plays his love interest as Truly Scrumptuous. The Potts children are played by Noel Comia who alternates with Albert Silos as well as Isabeli Araneta-Elizalde who alternate with Zoey Alvarade.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a story about a father who just wants to give the best to his kids. They wanted a car and so he moved heaven and Earth to make it happen. It is relatable because every parent does the same thing but they do it in a really energetic, boisterous, and music filled manner.

You also need to watch out for the Bulgarian Duo who will leave you laughing in stitches with their antics. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is directed by Jaime del Mundo and runs until November 12, 2017 at the NPAT in RWM. Visit or call 632.908.8833 for more information.
