Arianne Via Antonio is one of the in-demand theater actress right now. She currently the lead actress of the PETA and Cornerstone Entertainment Inc. entitled Ako si Josephine : A musical featuring the music of Yeng Constatino. I’m so honor and grateful that she allow me to interview her despite of busy schedule.
In this PsstPh Part of the Story Series, Arianne Via Antonio talks to us about his theater career and his experience in the industry.

Tell me about yourself that people don’t know: I studied ballet and all forms of dance. I do choreograph, im still flexible even after weight gain. I am even more confident in dancing than singing. I’ve just discovered that I can be a lead singer only from church ministries when I experienced to be a worship leader. God made me realize that I can really sing.
What is your current state of mind before we continue with the interview? HAPPY AND CONTENTED
When did you first know you wanted to become an stage actor? CHILDHOOD DAYS
What was the first show you ever did? And hows the experience? UP DULAANG LABORATORYO ( acting finals) so hard to remember
What has been your favorite role so far? Too many to mention. But as of now… JOSEPHINE ( Ako si Josephine)
Have you ever played someone of the opposite gender? (If not do you want to try it?) What was that like? Yeah as Bong ( Chuva Choo Choo the musical) I observed my boyfriend’s nuanced and habits… And some other stereotypical manly gestures that can work. It was comedy so it naturally came out funny
What show/shows are you currently working on? ASJ ( Ako si Josephine)
Have you ever forgotten your lines, or a prop, or choreography during a performance? Omy. I cant even remember What happened? I always get away with it. I will surely make a way!
What is something that you know now that you wish you knew when you were first starting out as an actor? It will always be about the audience, not the set, not the actor. The audience. You have to be generous.
Besides acting, what other training have you had (voice, dance, stage combat, etc.)? Gymnastics, all genres of dance. Cheerdance
How do they memorize a lot of lines? Process. Start early. Memorize per scene after the blocking
If you could choose, what three actors would you really want to work with? Cris Pasturan, Nonie Buencamino and John Lloyd Cruz
Why do you think theater is important? It mimics our daily lives.
Wonderful moments and wonderful situations in or lives. Why do you think so many aspiring actors end up giving up on their dream? Impatience? Discontentment.
What is something embarrassing or unexpected that happened to you on stage? Mental block.
What are some of the greatest fears you think actors/actress face? Lack of rehearsals, unexpected accidents
What do you need in order to become a successful actor? Unending learning, classes, training.
What makes a good stage actor in your opinion? Generous, giving, easy. And DEDICATED.
What is the most rewarding part of stage actor? Applause. And the audience as an inspiration.
What are the pros and cons of being a actor?
Pros: being able to become anyone, different roles in one lifetime.
Cons: pressure, long hours of work, fatigue ( but all worth it) Please be specific.
What goal are you working towards within your career and when will you know you have reached it? To be able to share and inspire more people to go to the theatre and to never stop dreaming if they want to pursue theatre

If you weren’t a stage actor or an artist, what would you want to be? Why? Flight attendant ( wow with 4’11) hahahaha businesswoman/ entrep
What advice would you give to someone who wanted to do what you do? Never stop learning!
How do you see yourself 20 or 30 yrs from now? Married with happy family
