8 Amazing Falls You Should Visit in Laguna

Love waterfalls? Laguna definitely has it all. More than its hot springs, Laguna is also a popular destination for its numerous falls and today we list down the 8 amazing falls that you should visit here.


1. Hulugan Falls

Located in Luisiana, this 90-meter high waterfalls is definitely a must-see in Laguna. Because of its height, expect the rush of water to be extreme. According to guides, Hulugan Falls got its name after a cow fell (“hulugan” came from the term “hulog” which literally translates to fall) from its peak.

2. Talay Falls

A couple of minutes away from Hulugan Falls lies Talay Falls. It is smaller in height and calmer in terms of the current.

3. Aliw Falls

Compared to Hulugan and Talay Falls, the trail going to Aliw Falls is under developed. However, once you finally reach the falls, you’ll be amazed by its large layers. Be careful though as the place is covered with leeches especially during rainy season.

4. Bukal Falls

Fan of the Enchanted River in Surigao del Sur? Laguna has its own version of it. Bukal Falls in Majayjay boasts its clear and cold water that will surely take your breath away.

5. Taytay Falls

Aside from Bukal Falls, Majayjay also offers another great destination: Taytay Falls. Also called as Imelda Falls, this 2-storey falls got its name from the former First Lady Imelda Marcos for she funded the tourism of Majayjay, Laguna.

6. Buruwisan Falls

Another popular destination in Laguna is Mt. Romelo in Siniloan and the usual itinerary includes a side trip to Buruwisan Falls. Aside from Buruwisan, there are other falls within Mt. Romelo including Lanzones Falls, Batya-Batya Falls and Sampaloc Falls.

7. Buntot Palos Falls

With a 2-hour trek before reaching the falls in Pangil, Buntot Palos is currently dubbed as the “Hidden Falls” but the travel is definitely worth it. The falls boasts an 80-meter height and the sight is something to behold.

8. Pagsanjan Falls

Of course this list wouldn’t be complete without one of the most popular falls in the country: Pagsanjan Falls. The falls features a devil’s cave giving you a glimpse of its shooting rapids.
